Mac Miller reportedly left behind an estate worth $7 million, including a generous amount of royalties from his music.

The Self Care rapper died at the age of 26 on 7 September at his San Fernando Valley home due to an accidental drug overdose, and fans just marked the first anniversary of his death.

According to TMZ, Mac’s estate filed legal documents recently which reveal the amount he left behind in personal property.

Among the reported assets are close to $5 million in masters, $1.5 million in music royalties and $180,000 in Mac Miller LLC.

During his lifetime, Mac – real name Malcolm McCormick – released five studio albums, including his debut Blue Slide Park, which earned him a number one on the Billboard 200 chart, and his final record Swimming, released just four weeks before his death.

The legal documents also reportedly list Mac’s sizeable jewellery collection, which includes a $31,000 18 karat Presidential bracelet, a $20,000 Rolex watch and a $14,000 Cuban link necklace.

All of the personal property combined brings the total to approximately $7 million.

Just days before the first anniversary of his tragic death, police filed charges against Cameron James Pettit for supplying the rapper with oxycodone pills that were laced with fentanyl and contributed to his death.

Mac’s father Mark McCormick broke his silence on the arrest at a celebration of the rapper’s life and said: ‘So they finally caught the motherf***er that sold him the drugs that killed him.

‘And we find some comfort in that. And many of us were young, including me, experimented with drugs. But it’s a different f***ing world out there, and all it takes is a stone—a little tiny stone of fentanyl and cocaine—and you’re dead.’

He added: ‘Drugs are being laced with fentanyl—all kinds of drugs. And the one thing I would say to you is: Don’t take the risk. It’s just not worth it.’
