Oh please spare a thought for Davina McCall who nearly had to get a complete stranger help get her workout top off this week, during a gym mishap.

It’s a real trip and we can only empathise – we’ve all been there.

Or if we haven’t all been there, we can certainly feel the anguish and embarrassment the TV personality must have felt when she was found alone, half-naked and unable to get her top off.

Taking to Instagram, the 51-year-old – who continues to impress us with her boundless energy levels and fitness – shared a horrific story from the front lines.

‘I just got stuck in my workout top,’ she said in a video posted to Instagram.

She continued with a look of shock on her face: ‘I was sweaty and I went to try and take it off and it got stuck. I was trying to get my hand down the back.

‘Oh my god I thought I’m never going to get it off.’

She continued: ‘I’m going to ask a complete stranger, my boobs are hanging out, to help me take my workout top off.

‘It’s okay, it’s off.’

Praise be, she was freed from the fabric monstrosity and lived to tell the very awkward tale.

Knowing full well the situation, she hilariously captioned the video: ‘Working out alone is dangerous.’

The TV presenter loves to post photos of herself exercising and upload bikini shots showing off the results of her hard work in the gym which prompts some followers to send her negative comments berating her for being obsessed with the gym.

But Davina isn’t troubled by the trolls because she loves her healthy lifestyle.

Appearing on Loose Women recently, she said: ‘I don’t really care. I would much rather be trolled about doing too much exercise. At least that is a good thing. I exercise three or four times a week for an hour, that’s not too much.’

When panellist Janet Street-Porter informed the former Big Brother host that some guidelines have suggested walking for 15 minutes is enough, Davina said: ‘I have always said three times a week or nothing. If you don’t do three times a week, you are never going to get the benefit from exercise – 15 or 20 mins walk a day might help with your blood pressure. I am not dissing other people. I don’t think three or four hours a week is addicted … If I met someone that told me they did two hours every day and had the weekend off, I still wouldn’t think they were addicted.’

Davina also warned the trolls that hate her bikini pictures that she is going to post even more of those images as she gets older.

She said: ‘Well, don’t follow me. I am always going to do it. The more you tell me not to do it … If you tell me not to do it, I am going to do it. I think the older I get, the more defiant I am. I want to be naughtier.

‘I really embrace anyone who is owning anything they are wearing and however they are looking. If you wear it with confidence…’
